The Bradley - Keller American Legion Post 119 in Abbeville held an American Legion Benefit Golf Tournament at the Headland Country Club on Wednesday, October 12th. Gus McCoy wishes to thank everyone that turned out to support the American Legion.

2011 Labor Day Tournament

Mike Smith breezed through a wind beaten Headland Country Club course with a three under par 105 to win the 2011 Labor Day Tournament by 7 shots. Allen Cole's 112 captured 2nd place and Todd Weeks shot 114 for 3rd place in the Championship A Flight. K.V. Douglas won the Championship B flight wiht a 115 which was 5 shots better than Joe Masters 120 2nd place finish while Luke Douglas captured 3rd place with 121. The officers of the Headland Country Club wish to thank all of those that turned out in spite of the inclement weather.

2011 HCC 3-Man Scramble Recap

The Headland Country Club held it's annual 3 Man Scramble on August 20th & 21st. We had another terrific turnout with a full field even with the hot weather! The course was in immaculate condition and everyone had a great time. The HCC Tournament Committee, Board of Directors and Membership wish to thank everyone that participated in this tournament.

July 4th Firecracker Tournament

Greg Hutcheson came from two back to edged Clay Grace to win the 2011 HCC July 4th Firecracker Tournament held on July 4th at the Headland Country Club. Craig Snellgrove finished third in the Championship A flight. Mike Smith won the Championship B Flight beating Jamie Carreia by 1 stroke with Randy Sanders finishing thrid. Keith Shippey finished with a strong 76 to win the First Flight by edging Ryan Parish by one stroke and Eric Parish finished third.

2011 HCC Invitational Tournament

Caleb Bristow edged Matt Sullivan to win the 2011 HCC Invitational Tournament held on June 4th and 5th at the Headland Country Club. Jay Skipper beat Lance Risher by regression for 3rd place.

2011 HCC One Man Scramble

John Eiland shot a blistering 56 on Saturday and then cruised in with a 67 on Sunday to win the inaugural HCC One-Man Scramble held at the Headland Country Club. Mark Barnes finish 2nd Place and Mike Smith finish 3rd in the Championship A division. In the Championship B division, Todd Weeks captured 1st place followed by 2nd place finisher Chase Arnold and Denny Steele taking 3rd place. In 1st Flight, Bobby Deese finished 1st place with Greg Hutcheson 2nd place and Willie Holman 3rd place. In the 2nd Flight, Jerry Hardy took 1st place followed by 2nd place Mike Miller and 3rd place Richard Brownell.
